SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

The mission of Nutrition Services is to provide a variety of healthy school meals and other food services at affordable prices in support of the educational goals of students. The District participates in the National School Lunch Program for reimbursement of meals that meet federal standards. USDA commodities have been allocated for use in school meals through the Food Distribution Program. In accordance with the federal Buy American law, the District desires to purchase domestic food products to the maximum extent practicable for school meals.  The District requests proposals in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP) for purchasing produce.
