SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

The scope of work for the fourth phase of the Maverick Center Renovation and Expansion project at Colorado Mesa University will be phased to allow the most efficient use of existing University resources. The various phases may include the following: • -Remove and replace the existing canvas skin on the structure. • -Remove and replace the existing canvas skin on the structure and add one additional court, west of the two existing courts, with new canvas structure to match. • -Relocate the existing tent to another location on campus.  • -Relocate the existing tent to another location on campus and add one additional court.  • -Add one additional court west of the existing courts at the Maverick Pavilion and design and new structure to house all three courts.  The design team, in cooperation with the University will negotiate an acceptable fee for the entire project and for all phases. Said fee will establish the percentage of fee, based on the direct cost of work for current and future phases allowed for each phase. The University intends to retain the AE and CMGC firms selected through this solicitation for the project entirety.     The all in costs for all phases is $8,969,854.42. The entire project would take 18 months to construct if CMU elects to move forward with all phases at once. Likely the University will have an initial phase that will replace the tent and add the third court west of the existing courts. The direct cost of work for that scope of the project will be $1,267,585.20 and will take 5 months to complete. The Project is contingent upon availability of funds.
