SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
The objective is to choose a reliable, experienced, and qualified consultant demonstrating related experience in the State of Colorado with demonstrated experience of providing such auditing services in a comprehensive, timely, and efficient manner. The scope of work for the City Auditor includes but is not limited to: • Audit the general purpose financial statements of the City and Redevelopment Authority in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and government auditing standards. • Assist the City and Redevelopment Authority in the preparation of financial statements. • Provide an unqualified opinion with respect to the City and Redevelopment Authority’s financial statements where practicable. • Attend meetings of the City Council and Redevelopment Authority relative to the work set forth as requested by the City and present a summary of the audit findings within four (4) years after the end of each year. • Evaluate and test the City’s internal controls and provide recommendations to Council regarding the same.
