SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
The City of Brighton by and thorough its Division of Procurement and Contracts is accepting Bids from qualified firms to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and material as necessary for the Cell 1 Rip Rap Construction. The City of Brighton owns and operates a water storage reservoir on the west side of town that enables the City to augment their wells during the winter. This reservoir is known as Ken Mitchell Lakes Cell #1 (Cell 1). Cell 1, in a normal year, usually fluctuates in water levels depending on the amount of operation. When full, strong winds create major wave action that is potentially damaging to the reservoir. During the past few years several construction projects have taken place and created even more water surface area, thus raising the probability of greater damage from wave action. Cell 1 is lined by a slurry wall that runs along the perimeter of the lake. At some locations, the slurry wall is as close as 10 feet from the top of the bank due to past years of operation with no embankment protection.
