SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:
Project Description: Qualified Contractors are invited to bid on the replacement of the existing HVAC system at the Julesburg Welcome Center. The welcome center is an approximately 3,400 square foot building, where the air handling units and condensing units and an exhaust fan are being replaced, and new duct work is being added. This is a Design/Bid/Build project with all code-reviewed MEP drawings provided. A purchase order with attached State Buildings General Conditions will be issued. HVAC contractor to work with a licensed electrician and plumber for gas if necessary to disconnect existing units and connect new units. Electrical contractor is responsible for pulling necessary State electrical permits and coordinating inspections. Upgrade includes installation of a new electrical panel. Scope of Services As shown on drawings, remove and properly dispose of existing HVAC equipment, temporarily disconnecting gas and electric to the unit. Remove and properly dispose of existing units, ductwork and evaporative cooler. Provide fire dampers as required by Code. All associated gas and electrical hook ups for new unit by Contractor. Note: all temperature controls shall be located at appropriate ADA height. All equipment is specified with a basis of design equipment; substitutions for comparable equipment are allowed as approved by the Mechanical Engineer. Detailed submittal package required for all equipment and accessories. Work to be coordinated so as to minimize time without functioning heating/cooling. A Test and Balance Report is required at the conclusion of the work. The Final report will be reviewed by engineer and Code reviewer. 1 year labor and material warranty required.
