SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

The Lyons Board of Trustees will be receiving sealed bids at Town Hall, 432 5th Avenue, Lyons, Colorado, up to Noon, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at which time they will be opened and read aloud considering the following: US36 STREETSCAPE STONE CANYON TO 3RD AVENUE US HIGHWAY 36, LYONS, COLORADO A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Thursday October 22, 2015 at the Lyons Town Hall located at 432 5th Avenue, Lyons, CO 80540. Representatives of the Town of Lyons will be present to discuss the project and to answer questions. Bidders are requested to attend and participate in the conference. The Town has determined that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) will participate by contracting for a part of the work of this Contract. The contract goal for participation in this Contract by certified DBEs has been established at 10.0 %. The work generally consists of removing existing pavements, curb and gutter and enhancements, installation of 1842 tons of asphalt pavement; 813 tons of asphalt patch; 2,054 feet of curb or curb and gutter; 2,435 linear feet of 15” to 60” storm drain; 2,846 square yards of concrete sidewalk; cold weather protection for sub-grade and concrete; 6” and 8” water line relocations; 41overhead traffic and pedestrian lights; installing 4 owner furnished signal pole and mast arms and purchasing and installing signal heads and other appurtenances, purchase and install of a pre-fabricated restroom (bid alternate); installing a landscape irrigation system and landscaping together with traffic control and storm water management with supporting items of work. There are bid alternatives with this work. Only bidders pre-qualified in accordance with the Rules for Pre-Qualification, Debarment, Bidding, and Work on Colorado Department of Transportation projects will be allowed to bid on the Project. Bids will be accepted only from pre-qualified bidders. Bid documents and specifications are available for a $50 deposit at Town Hall starting Tuesday October 13, 2015. No refunds will be provided. Bid documents may also be obtained free of charge for the Town of Lyons web site at www.townoflyons.com. The Town of Lyons reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities. Deborah Anthony Town Clerk
